Canopies for Schools
This Canopy for Schools has a projection of 5125mm and a length of 8415mm along the classroom wall.
We were approached by the school and asked if we could help them cover an area outside one of their classrooms. The Canopy had to be able to be freestanding as they were not able to use their building for any structural support. We designed our Freestanding Covered School Canopy Area to suit this and have sealed to the building to provide the protection they needed. Our roof sheeting has a UV filter and has high impact properties making it ideal for Canopies on Schools. This area is inside a fenced off section of the playground that is connected to an outside classroom door.
This school is a relativley new clad building with 2 floors. The building is not suitable to hold anything structural onto it.
We used our 240mm extruded aluminum beams, with our wall plate. The guttering was attached to our fascia and guided to the existing drainage channel. The roof is our 123v 3kg profile roof sheeting, with a co-extruded UV filter.
