Community Enterprise buys local shop in Feckenham
There is nothing better than a community pulling together in times of need. One such community, in the village of Feckenham, Worcestershire did just that by creating a community enterprise and reopening a Village Shop some 20 years after the closure of the previous village store. The Village Shop in Feckenham is the first such community enterprise in Worcestershire. Run entirely by volunteers, they even won the Best Village Shop award in 2009. In 2020 we were privilaged to be asked to build a commercial canopy for them. Once we had obtained planning permission on their behalf we were able to proceed with the installation of a freestanding canopy in RAL 7016 anthracite grey at the front of the shop to create a covered seating area for their customers. The shop sells a selection of fresh and frozen produce along with everday essentials and even fresh flowers and a selection of tasty pastries so, if you happen to be in the area, pop along and treat yourself and you can even have a seat under one of our canopies.
