Freestanding School Canopies
7300mm x 2500mm so as the rear sheeting of the canopy overlaps the existing school guttering.
We were approached by a main contractor for the welsh government to provide a canopy for one of their clients, Soffryd Primary School near Newport. We liased with the construction teams who were working on behalf of the school, and we designed, manufactured and installed a custom built school canopy, providing cover for the doors at the school so parents and children can stay dry when waiting to enter

As always with school canopies the materials are specified to take into account the wind & snow loadings of the site address. Due to the enhanced wind loadings of this site, all materials used in the construction were upgraded to take this into consideration.

The fitting of the canopy was carried out over 3 days, including cast in situe concrete foundations, the installation of the roof sheeting a guttering and finally the cleaning of the site to leave the school canopy ready for use.
