Freestanding Canopy Walkway with infill sides of solid poly-carbonate.
85m Length x 2.5m Projection and Height 2.6m
At short notice during the national lock-down we were asked to provide an 85m, walkway for the NHS Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford. We mobilized necessary personnel and spoke to some of our key suppliers to fulfill the requirements. The purpose of the canopy is so patients and staff could transfer from the main hospital building to the 20-cubicle isolation ward. The product needed to be robust, long lived and translucent. The internal bar heights were designed to take into account hospital trolley bed movements. The canopy was also fitted over the stairwell, so as to minimize the ingress of surface water to the canopy walkway area.
