Large PV Solar Canopy Carport with intergrated bifacial solar panels
This large PV solar carport has a length of 11500mm with a projection of 5500mm
We were contacted by the client to discuss a potential project to design, manufacture and install a PV Solar Powered Canopy Carport for his remote property at the top of a hill in Southern Scotland. Using our inhouse wind and snow load calculating programs, we designed a product, taking into account the exposed location. The heating of their house was electric and the aim was to greatly reduce the energy bills. Wide spans were required at the front for ease of manoeuvring various vehicles to be parked under the carport. With sturctural calculations and the cad drawings completed, the design was agreed upon and the result of the project can be seen in the pictures.

123v extruded aluminium sections and posts, Solar Panels, this included our 240mm extruded aluminium beams, which allowed for the wide spans that the Freestanding Carport required.
Black aluminium framework
Our team took 5 days to install this PV Solar Carport, including 11 Tonnes of concrete for the foundations.
