Commercial Canopies & Loading Bays

The client had a requirement for a loading bay canopy at their commercial warehouse premises in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. The Canopy had to be high enough so the artic lorries could reverse into the loading bay and have the minimum number of posts/columns at the front of the canopy creating a wide span. 123v solved this problem by using our 300mm deep aluminum beam section that we developed for projects like this one. The front posts were set back from the front of the canopy to minimize maneuvering obstacles. The customer did not want the canopy to block out daylight from the premises, The answer to this was our G.R.P. translucent 3.0kg m² roof sheeting which lets through 85% of day light.
